i honestly cannot listen to this song without a huge pit in my stomach. it has never been the same since watching supernatural. the show always plays awesome music. but they play this song in the beginning of every finale with a montage of the entire season thus far. it kills me, i cry every time! hahaha but seriously, great song, i love it so much.

this is the theme song for a show that i watch, weeds. one of my favorite shows and at first i thought the song was so weird but it just grows on you and now i’m absolutely obsessed with it.

brighten is an amazing, amazing band. not a lot of people know about them. but their music is beautiful. justin richards is so talented and so underrated. no one writes about life and love like he does, it is so inspirational. i briefly met him when i saw a rocket to the moon in 2009 but what i would do to have a real conversation with him… he seems so wonderful.

anyway, they just released this ep and i have been listening to it nonstop. what i really love about this particular song is how raw sounding it is. it is so hard to find music that is not so overproduced nowadays. he is not always in tune and the guitar sometimes gives some feedback. but that is what makes it so special. if you listen really closely, you can hear cars passing by and some sirens in the background.. it’s as if he is really recording it in the park. so so so SO GOOD! 

try not to get to obsessed, it’s almost impossible. hehe :) ENJOY!

this song means so much. when i first started getting into music, i fell in love with it almost instantly. not only does it represent the style of music i love but the lyrics are so relatable. recently someone asked me what i thought of my life thus far and what i want in the future. it was a hard question to answer, so instead i gave them this song. i’ve spent my whole life waiting. and i am ready for something more.
